01 The Coach
A prior athlete who found the job she was built for.
I have always had a love for fitness, especially being a prior athlete. I started my trainer journey off at Planet Fitness in North Dakota. After seeing the change and difference I was making with people and their health journeys, I decided that this was the career for me.
I am originally from California. Shortly after high school, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, and that is where I learned the value behind having discipline. Both of my younger brothers enlisted in the United States Army and are serving now. Discipline runs in the family.
That is the part of my history that shows up most in how I coach. Not volume, not yelling — standards. A standard is something you can keep on the days you feel great and the days you do not, and it is what carries a client through month four when the novelty has worn off. When you train with me, we agree on a standard together, and then I hold it with you until it is just how you live.
Outside the gym I am a huge hockey fan and a big Anaheim Ducks fan, and I have a dog I rescued and raised on my own since he was a puppy. We have been together ever since.
